State West Virginia Albans is a town/city in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States, at the confluence of the Kanawha and Coal Rivers.

The town/city was then incorporated as Kanawha City in 1868.

According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 3.70 square miles (9.58 km2), of which, 3.62 square miles (9.38 km2) is territory and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km2) is water. As of the census of 2010, there were 11,044 citizens , 4,969 homeholds, and 3,073 families living in the city.
