According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 1.33 square miles (3.44 km2), all of it land. 10,600 acres (43 km2) of property known locally as Garden Ground was donated by the Bechtel Foundation to the Boy Scouts of America for evolution into The Summit: Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve, a high adventure base and site for the nationwide Scout jamboree. There were 737 housing units at an average density of 554.1 per square mile (213.9/km2).
